If you write on the internet, you are
immediately authoritative.
People are more empowered now than ever before
because every Joe Blow has a web-based chronicle (some of you call
them "blogs.") Writing on the internet instantaneously gives you
power and authority. People suddenly care about what you
say, and no one dares to contradict you. Make sure to put words in
the mouths of your detractors and rebut them all in the same
article. See this article for examples.
It is a powerful technique.
If you are arguing for things commonly accepted as
hooey or perhaps poppycock, be sure to back it up with
links to off-the-wall websites to make sure nobody can possibly
disagree with you. (See the previously-linked
article for further examples.) If they do, they're just idiots
and should get off the internet. There is only room for powerful,
authoritative people on the internet.
However, you must keep in mind at all times that
the internet is a series of tubes rather than a dump truck. So write
short, concise articles. Nobody wants to get some huge article
through his 1/4" piece of copper tubing. He'll probably just get
bored and leave. If he leaves, you won't be as authoritative
and powerful as you could have been if he had stayed.
Also, people get really huffy if you say even the
slightest thing negative about Israel (or Jews,) so avoid that at
any cost. It makes you less powerful and authoritative.
(See the previously-linked article for an
example.)
Lastly, use the "find" tool in your browser to
count the number of times the word "power" appears in this article.
By my count, it is seven. That is a lot.
